This little volume is the first collection of my daily writings. I wanted to create a book which could be gifted to and by my faithful tribe of readers for whom I write.
It is filled with my take on how to best navigate life on this spinning ball of dirt we call home.
I read once somewhere that wisdom is, ‘the ability to live life skillfully.’ Well, this is my best attempt at sharing what little wisdom I have acquired with anyone and everyone who will listen.
As, author and priest, Brennan Manning so famously penned, ‘I am just one beggar telling other beggars where to find food.’
Smooth Running Weird, is a bit of Texas slang I picked up from my father-in-law, Phil. I think it accurately describes the beautiful mess of our shared human experience.
I hope you find as much joy and inspiration in these daily readings as I’ve had in writing them.
